Rustler`s Valley Festivals

Rustler`s Valley festivals- there are numerous small events across the whole year as opposed to one massive festival- are the outdoor musical and festival highlights for a country with a saturated festival scene.
Founded in 1992 by South African hippies looking to create a Woodstock / Glastonbury-esque festival in their nation, the festival contains strong environmental and bohemian values. Indeed, the Rustler Valley is one of South Africa`s numerous stunning, yet ecologically sensitive, areas of countryside.
From the outset, the festival aimed to offer a stage for local musicians and bands on which to perform, alongside art and food events. However, since then, a more youthful, dj-led and dance music scene has proliferated. Yet over the past couple of years more bands and live music has returned to the festival, offering it a nice balance. So if you are looking to dance the night away to some top djs, you can; and if you are looking to chill out to some live jazz, you can also. Result!
